Māori Women’s Refuge. Each region has their own contact details, you can ask the team at your nearest location by calling 0800 733 843 or look up their website.
Shakti. Providing immediate help for women and children from Asian, African and Middle Eastern origin. Call 0800 742 584 or check out their facebook page.
Safe to Talk Call 0800 044 334, 24/7 if you have questions about sexual harm or text 4334.
Victims Support. Victim Support is here for all people affected by crime, trauma, and suicide in New Zealand. Call 0800 842 846, 24/7.
Victims Information. Call 0800 650 654 for advice on how to deal with the practical and emotional effects of crime.
Asian Family Services. Providing professional and nationwide confidential face-to-face or telephone support for Asians living in New Zealand, call 0800 862 342.
Family Action. Offers a range of services for those who have experienced abuse, trauma, family and sexual violence. These services include counselling, outreach, women’s refuge and youth programmes. Call 0800 326 327 Monday to Friday 8am-5pm.
Elder Abuse Helpline. Connecting you with registered nurses who can provide information and support about elder abuse. Available free 24/7 by calling 0800 EA NOT OK (0800 32 668 65), text 5032 or email.
Ghandhi Nivas. Providing early intervention and prevention services for New Zealand men who are at risk of committing harm in the family home. Call 0800 426 344 or email.
Hey Bro Helpline. Listening and offering support for men who feel they are going to harm a loved one or whānau member, call 0800 439 276.
Sensitive Claims ACC. If you or someone you know is a survivor of sexual abuse or assault, you can get help through the ACC Sensitive Claims Unit on 0800 735 566 or email.
Rainbow Youth. Providing support, information, resources & advocacy for Aotearoa’s queer, gender diverse, takatāpui and intersex youth.
