Who are we?

The Royal New Zealand Returned and Services Association (RNZRSA) is one of the oldest military support charities in the world. It was formed to look after returning personnel from World War One and carries on the tradition of support.

Our mission is to support those impacted by military service and we treat all those that have served in the military as veterans.

Who do we help?

Our support is there for anyone who has or is serving as a military member. This includes reservists.

You do not need to be a member nor do you need to join the RSA to receive our support.

What can we help with?

Our Support Network covers the whole of New Zealand. We can assist in navigating government bureaucracy to help with Veterans' Affairs, ACC, Work and Income entitlements, link you into other veteran support organisations and health providers for mental, physical or social health needs. We can act as advocates in relation to reviews and appeals with ACC and Veterans' Affairs.

We act as general advisors and supporters for a range of issues impacting veterans and their families from finances, accommodation and housing, to educational support, transition from the military, and medical and health outcomes.

Our Poppy Trusts and donated money is used to assist veterans and their families. For emergency and urgent situations we are able to support veterans immediately.
